    What a healing journey is (hint: it only sometimes involves yoga!)

Unlocking the Body is an experiential workshop where we explore the ways (and reasons) the body can lock up. Then, using Yoga Dance— familiar yoga moves set to various musical environments— we give your body a chance to unwind and release in its own way.

You’ll leave this workshop feeling like you’ve been out dancing all night, and you’ll feel closer and kinder to yourself.

No dance or yoga experience necessary.

Unlocking the Body - Healing with Yoga Dance

Healing with Yoga Dance

Healing with Yoga Dance is a collaboration with myself and yoga instructor Rose Papuga.

Each 90-minute workshop has four parts:

  1. Meditation - Guidance to bring everyone’s energy and presence where it is needed: right here and right now.

  2. Experiential teaching - we introduce a topic in healing (e.g. the wound of criticism) and we use experiential exercises to help elucidate how the body holds wounds as tension and reactivity.

  3. Yoga Dance! Familiar yoga moves set to various beats and sounds, with room to allow your body to dance, process and express however it might.

  4. Shavasana - During this restful time, Tracy and Rose provide adjustments and Healing Work.

Thinking of hosting us? We’d love that! Healing with Yoga Dance can be done with groups up to 40 people. It’s great for retreats, healing circles, grief gatherings, recovery meetings, or yoga studio / wellness center special events. Email me to discuss.

Teaching & Discussion Group

I offer a range of teaching and discussion topics, including, but not limited to:

  • Healing Journey 101: What it is, if you need it, and how to get started

  • Inner Critic: Recognizing and defusing the inner mean voice

  • Shame/Guilt: What it really is and how to work with it

  • Grief: Making room to feel and honor what has been lost

  • Joy/Expansion: Why most of us put a cap on this wonderful feeling

  • Boundaries: Finding your NO
